Practice Information

Parking

  • The car park is generally very congested between 8.00 am and 11.30 am on weekdays and is best avoided during these times. If you are able to park elsewhere and/or arrive by alternative means please do so. If you need to attend the Medical Centre for anything other than an appointment, please avoid visiting us between these times.
  • Please always park with care, being aware of both slow moving pedestrians and other cars. Please avoid parking in the entrance and on the driveway if possible, and certainly not on the bend at the top of the driveway, which causes unnecessary obstruction. Thank you.
  • Please note, there are CCTV cameras installed at both Hildenborough and Trenchwood Medical Centres, both in the car parks and in the reception areas.

Disabled Access

  • All our medical centres and outreach surgeries are accessible by wheelchairs and there are designated disabled parking spaces at both Hildenborough and Trenchwood Medical Centres. There is also a wheelchair available for patient use to access the Medical Centres. Both Medical Centres have disabled toilet facilities.

Patient Group

We are interested in hearing your views about the surgery, how well we are doing and how we may be able to improve the services we offer you – we can only do this with your help. You can find out more here

Training Practice

Medical Students and Allied Healthcare Professionals

We are a teaching practice for Kent and Medway Medical Students who are yet to qualify as doctors and sit in with the doctors and nurses.

Other allied healthcare professionals that may sit in to observe consultations as part of their training or inductions include Paramedics, Physician Associates, GP Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

We fully understand that patients might prefer not to have anyone else sitting in for their appointment so please let our Care Navigators know when you check in if this is the case.

GP Specialist Trainees

We are a training practice for GP Specialist Trainees (previously called Registrars) who are attached to the practice and are fully qualified doctors, studying and working towards Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners which is required to practise as a GP. We also have Foundation Doctors who are qualified doctors and are attached to the practice to get experience in General Practice before they specialise.

You may be offered an appointment with a Specialist Trainee or Foundation Doctor, whose surgeries are always supervised by a GP.

Recording Consultations for Training and Assessments

As part of ongoing training or assessments, doctors may on occasion seek to video or audio record consultations. Consent is always sought from patients prior to the appointment being recorded and afterwards to confirm the patient is still happy after the consultation for it to be used for training or assessment purposes.

GP Patient Survey

Have your say on the way your local GP services are working

Around 2.4 million people, aged 16 and over, who are registered with a GP practice in England will receive an invitation to take part in Europe’s biggest patient experience survey in early January. The answers we get help the NHS to improve local health services for people like you and your family. It is important that we hear about your experiences even if you haven’t visited your GP practice recently, or if you have filled in a questionnaire before.

The invitations go out mostly by letter to a random selection of people who have been registered with their GP practice for at least 6 months. The survey team at NHS England will follow this up with a text message reminder (where a mobile number is available) alongside further paper questionnaires to encourage as high a response rate as possible.

If you receive a survey, please do take the time to take part.  It provides vital information to the NHS to identify what’s working well and what can be improved. It helps to identify inequalities in experience too, as the results can be analysed across different protected characteristics.
