Dr Tara Sheehan qualified from University of Liverpool in 2007. She spent 15 months working in Palmerston North Hospital, New Zealand, before returning to England and undertaking a year as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainee in South Yorkshire. She gained her DRCOG and during this time. She then moved to Kent to undertake her GP training, which she completed in 2017. She has worked as a salaried GP at HTMG since March 2022.

She lives in Tonbridge with her husband and three children.
